Our counsellors are provisional psychologists who can support you through issues such as relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, loss of loved one or the painful emotions associated with a physical condition.
Humanity Allied Health’s counsellors work closely with other clinicians across our team, including psychologists, occupational therapists, positive behaviour support practitioners, physiotherapists and speech therapists.
Our NDIS counselling services are designed to provide you with tailored support, guiding you through any challenges you encounter. Our experienced counsellors work closely with you to create practical strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals.
Counsellors can support you in understanding and managing the emotional and psychological impact of life changes, disability, injury or ongoing health conditions. This may include helping you work through feelings such as stress, anxiety, low mood, grief or frustration, and developing ways to cope with day to day pressures in a more manageable way.
We also support you to build skills that make everyday life easier, such as communication strategies, emotional regulation, problem solving and building confidence in social or community situations. For families and carers, counselling can provide space to explore challenges in the caring role, improve communication within the family unit and support stronger relationships and understanding.
Our counsellors work alongside you to identify what matters most in your life and help you break down your goals into practical, achievable steps. This might include improving independence, strengthening relationships, increasing community participation or developing routines that support wellbeing and stability.
Flexible, personalised care:
In clinic, mobile or online
Our Humanity Allied Health counsellors can see you or your participant at home, at school, in the community, in one of our clinics or via online sessions. We offer flexible service delivery to suit individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
For some people, personal challenges, travel or logistics make online sessions a more practical option, with the added benefit of faster access to counsellors who may not be based in the same city. We can travel to a location that works best for you, or where appropriate, provide sessions in one of our clinics.
You don’t need a referral to book our services.
Our therapy and allied health services can be funded through NDIS, Medicare or other government programs, or you can book privately and pay yourself.
Our services are provided in line with the NDIS pricing arrangements, meaning there’s no gap fee.
If you want fast access without paperwork, our private sessions put you in control of your healthcare journey. We offer flexible funding options to make therapy simple and accessible.
Our team can guide you navigating funding options.
