Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) provide practical, ongoing support to help you follow your treatment plan and work towards your therapy goals, alongside your allied health team.
Humanity Allied Health’s positive behaviour support practitioners work with participants to build skills that help you change challenging behaviours into positive ones and improve your quality of life.
Our NDIS behaviour support practitioners will work with you to assess your functional behaviours. Using this information, as well as evidence-based behaviour strategies, we will develop an individualised behaviour support plan to help you reduce behaviours of concern.
Strategies typically include things like building routines, teaching helpful behaviours and responses, as well as techniques for self-soothing and psycho-education. Support teams are also given training in order to help you implement your new plan and minimise use of restrictive practice, with our behavior support practitioners continuing to monitor to ensure your desired outcomes are achieved.
Our focus is on what works in real mealtimes, with clear guidance and consistent support.
Flexible, personalised care:
In clinic, mobile or online
Our Humanity Allied Health behavioural support practitioners can see you or your participant at home, at school, in the community, in one of our clinics or via online sessions. We offer flexible service delivery to suit individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
For some people, personal challenges, travel or logistics make online sessions a more practical option, with the added benefit of faster access to behavioural support practitioners who may not be based in the same city. We can travel to a location that works best for you, or where appropriate, provide sessions in one of our clinics.
We support adults with complex communication needs, including people who use little or no spoken language.
Ways we can help:
Our focus is on communication that works in daily life, not just in appointments.
You don’t need a referral to book our services.
Our therapy and allied health services can be funded through NDIS, Medicare or other government programs, or you can book privately and pay yourself.
Our services are provided in line with the NDIS pricing arrangements, meaning there’s no gap fee.
If you want fast access without paperwork, our private sessions put you in control of your healthcare journey. We offer flexible funding options to make therapy simple and accessible.
Our team can guide you navigating funding options.
With Humanity Allied Health, you have access to a full range of NDIS services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and occupational therapy functional assessment, psychology, counselling, speech therapy, and allied health professionals working together to support your journey.
