If you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief or the difficult emotions that can come with a physical condition, our counsellors are here to help. They’re provisional psychologists who can support you through these challenges.
Humanity Allied Health’s counsellors work closely with other clinicians across our team, including psychologists, occupational therapists, positive behaviour support practitioners, physiotherapists and speech therapists.
Our NDIS counselling is tailored to you, helping guide you through whatever challenges you’re facing. We work closely with you to build practical strategies for working through obstacles and reaching your goals.
Counselling can help you understand and manage the emotional and psychological impact of life changes, disability, injury or ongoing health conditions. This might mean working through stress, anxiety, low mood, grief or frustration, and finding ways to manage day to day pressures that feel more workable for you.
Building skills for everyday life is part of counselling too. This can cover communication strategies, emotional regulation, problem solving or gaining confidence in social and community settings. If you’re a family member or carer, counselling can also give you space to explore the challenges of caring, improve communication within your family and support stronger relationships and understanding between everyone involved.
Working alongside you, our counsellors help identify what matters most to you, then break your goals down into practical steps. This could mean building independence, strengthening relationships, taking part in the community more, or setting up routines that support your wellbeing and stability.
Flexible, personalised care:
In clinic, mobile or online
Whether you’re the participant or supporting one, our counsellors can meet at home, at school, in the community, in one of our clinics or through online sessions. We keep service delivery flexible, shaped around individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
Online sessions can be more practical if travel, logistics or personal challenges get in the way. They can also open up support from counsellors who aren’t based in your area, which can be useful if local options are limited. If you’d prefer, we can travel to a location that suits you, or arrange sessions in one of our clinics.
You don’t need a referral to book our services.
Our therapy and allied health services can be funded through NDIS, Medicare or other government programs, or you can book privately and pay yourself.
Our services are provided in line with the NDIS pricing arrangements, meaning there’s no gap fee.
If you want fast access without paperwork, our private sessions put you in control of your healthcare journey. We offer flexible funding options to make therapy simple and accessible.
Our team can guide you navigating funding options.
