If you’re managing or wanting to prevent chronic disease or injury, accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) can support you. They work with you towards better health, using exercise as the main tool.
Our accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) focus on creating safe, effective exercise programs. This includes support if you’re at risk of, or living with, a disability, an illness, an age related condition, or a chronic medical condition, including more complex presentations.
We’ll assess how you manage the activities that make up your day to day life, then build a plan around your goals to support your health. The aim is to make it easier for you to take part in activities at home, school, work and in the community.
We’re here to help you manage your health conditions and support your overall quality of life. Together, we build the skills and strategies that help you feel more confident and independent, so you can stay engaged in the activities that matter most to you.
You can meet with our exercise physiologists at home, at school, in the community or through online sessions, in both regional and city areas. Our services follow the NDIS price guide, so there’s no gap fee.
If you have any questions, reach out to our friendly team, we’re happy to help.
Flexible, personalised care:
In clinic, mobile or online
Whether you’re the participant or supporting one, our accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) can meet at home, at school, in the community, in one of our clinics or through online sessions. We keep service delivery flexible, shaped around individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
Online sessions can also be more practical if travel, logistics or personal challenges get in the way. They can open up support from exercise physiologists who aren’t based in your area, which can be useful if local options are limited. If you’d prefer, we can travel to a location that suits you, or arrange sessions in one of our clinics.
If you’re seeing an accredited exercise physiologist (AEP), you’re working with someone who holds dual accreditation as an exercise scientist (AES) too, registered with ESSA, the profession’s governing body.
AEPs assess, design and deliver exercise support across a wide range of conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, kidney, respiratory and mental health conditions. This also extends to any condition where evidence shows exercise can help your clinical status.
The goal is to prevent or manage disease or injury, whether that’s acute, sub-acute or chronic, while supporting your physical function, health and wellness along the way.
Accredited exercise physiologists work within many different environments such as hospitals, private and multidisciplinary clinics, communities, aged care, research and sport.
